This
DJ style toolbox consists of 2 decks, with modal crossfader. Each Deck
has DJ style EQ, FX, Loop, Beatjump, Autofade, pitch and tempo controls
and polar displays. |

My background in sound design is diverse and includes work for corporate branding, film, music production, audio forensics and telephony systems. Initially I wanted to find better sounds for my own music but I found this quest to be never ending! This led me to the desire to design or invent new sounds instead of merely sampling or licensing existing material.

Meanwhile as a musician I found that keyboard instruments and synthesizers had reached a limit in offering new ideas or approaches to both sound and music. Developments and advances in computing were accelerating at the same time so I began to explore how to use computers to produce music, and also make new sounds. |
|
This
is the FX section taken from Dr Dex above and is used frequently to add
live FX to existing concepts. The fx macros were modified to include
core clock gates to allow for glitch free switching. Additionally the
fx use no cpu when not enabled. 7 live effects can be toggled or
displayed using the button rows. The most recent version can be found in the Kore 2 Reaktor Toolpack above. This includes improvements like: 1. effect disabling when mix knobs are in zero position, 2. a live version of the 2-osc filter 1+LFO, 3. a switch for changing the glex loop length knob from log to beats. A much fatter and groovy dexfx overall and recommended. |

While making music is my guiding principle in designing sounds, my research interests are much wider encompassing digital signal processing and acoustic phenomenology. |

OTTO is a pitch correction/quantization tool that includes key, scale and wet/dry mix parameters. Date: 07/04/07: The ottos.zip archive contains 6 versions. Ottotoon is the original and uses the grain delay to apply the pitch shift. Ottocomb uses a comb filter in high resonance to apply a quantized pitch to the input. Ottocode uses two vocoders to affect pitch. Ottofreq uses the FFT phase vocoder core module. Ottofreq mono is simplified. Ottofreq poly includes three voices for polyphonic harmony. These are experimental
files without version numbers yet so stay tuned for updates as this

Soloflex
is a synthesizer built around a sawtooth oscillator and comb filter
with high feedback. It can produce warm flutes and metallic shrieks
that get burned through Banaane Electrique by Martijn Zwartjes. |

This
is an instrument made to simulate the sound and behaviour of telephones
such as dialing, ringing, and busy tones. The fx are designed to
preview what samples will sound like when heard through a phone system
including downsampling to 8Khz and bit reduction to 8 bit as well as
compression and additional dsp. |

The
Rigcontrol lets you use your Guitar Rig V1 Pedal in Reaktor. The RC
control tones are deciphered and connected to midi CC that you may use
in any of your reaktor creations. *New in the Kore 2 Reaktor Toolpack is an updated Rig Control ensemble that outputs midi events directly within or out of reaktor. The only rig control to feature midi output, the included midi modules can be sent individually or in shotgun fashion. |

is an advanced FM Synthesizer that allows for in-operator filtering and
custom samples. When used with the reaktor morph controls, this synth
can make evolving textures that are unpredictable and compelling. |

V1 Bank for the Kurzweil K2600 series synthesizer. Developed for
advanced synthesis, the bank utilizes KDFX and includes Triple Modular
Programs. The zip archive contains a readme.txt and detailed
spreadsheet covering the programs control parameters and usage. This
bank was highlighted by Kurzweil at NAMM demonstrations, but has yet to
appear in any commercial product. |
